During the week March 23–27, Spanish ‘Tercio de Armada’ and ‘Tercio del Sur’ Marines and USMC counterparts from Morón Air Base, conducted a joint exercise in the Sierra del Retín range to train on high intensity combat techniques.

In the course of a 72-hour non-stop exercise, they carried out a series of drills on LFX (live fire exercise), tactics, reconnaissance, and day and night insertion operations with helicopters.

The exercise has shown a high degree of interoperability and similar combat training levels, as well as a significant capability for adaptation in changing tactical situations, versatility and the use of combined weapons.
