This morning, the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy (AJEMA) attended the delivery ceremony of the first corvette built in the bay of Cadiz for the Royal Saudi Navy.
The event took place at ‘La Carraca’ Naval Base in San Fernando (Cádiz). The AJEMA, Admiral General Antonio Martorell Lacave, accompanied by the Chairman of Navantia, Mr. Ricardo Domínguez García-Baquero, welcomed the authorities and then moved to a platform to witness the ceremony.
The ‘Al-Jubail’ began to be built in January 2019 and after three years, she was officially delivered to the Royal Saudi Navy. The corvette has successfully passed the sea trials in the waters of the Bay of Cádiz during the last few months.
